The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will join the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series at Watkins Glen International in 2014 with a race on Friday, August 8th. The Nationwide Series Zippo 200 and the Sprint Cup Series Cheez-It 355 at The Glen will take place Saturday and Sunday, August 9th and 10th, respectively.

WGI is one of only two road courses on the 16-race 2014 schedule for the K&N Pro Series East. The series, formerly known as the Busch East and Busch North Series, first competed at The Glen in 1993, returning numerous times through 2009. Winners of the race include Bill Elliott (1993), Terry Labonte (1994, 1995), Ron Fellows (1998, 2000), Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (1999), and Ryan Truex (2009).

“The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East is a great addition to our already action-packed Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen weekend,” said Michael Printup, president of WGI. “We are thrilled to have this outstanding series back at WGI and know our fans are excited too.”

Tickets for the Cheez-It 355 at The Glen weekend, and other 2014 events, are now on sale – visit www.theglen.com for more information and to purchase tickets.
