In addition to claiming that this will "probably be" her last season on "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta," R&B singer K. Michelle says the upcoming second season has a lot of drama. Speaking out Tuesday, Feb. 19, K. Michelle revealed that she believes that Mimi Faust's new boyfriend is allegedly on the down low.
"We're like into the sixth episode. I have just cursed everybody out. I'm just done. Mimi has a new boyfriend. I think he's down low. No one can take that from me. That's my opinion," K. Michelle told Power 105.1 Tuesday. "Normal stuff I wouldn't even be in the middle of."
While K. Michelle didn't elaborate any further, she says the new season, which is due to premiere late Spring, is probably going to be her last because conflict just doesn't match her career and where she is going right now. She also admits that it's been a struggle just to have producers focus on filming her recording her upcoming album and other music related projects.
"I really just wanna be in the studio. They are now (focusing on that) because that's my thing. I'm like okay; I have given you a lot of f***ery to open up this season. I need a break. I need to do what I love," said K. Michelle. "I've been talking to Mona about doing my own show. I think this probably will be my last season of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta."
That said, K. Michelle is excited about her upcoming album, which has a target release month of August. As previously reported, she signed with Warner Bros. Records shortly after season one of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta." Her deal is now with Atlantic Records and while she benefited, in respect of landing that deal, from the show, she is still battling every time she performs to prove that she's not just some reality star trying to make extra money.
"It helped a lot but I still have to fight even harder as an artist because being on a show where everybody says they're an artist and they're not, it's like they just wake up one morning and say hey, I'm on a reality so I'm going to cut a record. Being on that, you get grouped in certain situations," K. Michelle shared. "When I do a show, I can't do anything but give it a thousand. I have to sing my a** off. I have to do everything. I'm not going to complain because it's what I love, it's hard work. My single is coming out. It has to be amazing."
All of that said, are you anticipating K. Michelle's album and do you think she's making the right decision by possibly leaving "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" for good?
