“Over radio, the Internet and other select targeted media, the K-LOVE & Air1 Networks have endeavored to effectively communicate the Gospel and to encourage their listeners in their walk with Christ,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright, in a recent press release. “For the networks, it’s not just about the music; it’s about the message and the ministry.”
With a weekly audience of more than 14 million, K-LOVE & Air1 are committed to utilizing all forms of technology to share the Gospel message of Christ. They have stations in cities across the country including Cincinnati, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Houston, and many more. Tune in locally at 104.3 FM, 90.1 FM and 96.9 FM. Additionally, www.klove.com and www.air1.com are among some of the most heavily trafficked Websites in the country.
According to officials, the mission of K-LOVE & Air1 is to create compelling media that inspires and encourages listeners to a meaningful relationship with Christ. For example, one notable aspect of their ministry is that of prayer. There are eight full-time pastors on staff that receive more than 52,000 prayer requests each month. They are available to serve listeners 24 hours a day.
Named after the best-known broadcaster, pastor, and evangelist of his era, the Billy Graham Award for Excellence in Christian Communications is presented by NRB every year to a Christian organization that effectively and creatively uses multiple electronic media technologies in fulfillment of its mission, while maintaining fidelity to the message of love, redemption, and hope found in the Holy Scriptures.
