JWoww Farley has given every redneck with a do-it-yourself list two good reasons to like duct tape more than they already do. She has made herself the patron saint of rednecks by going topless and giving herself a little self-support with a bra fashioned out of the silvery-backed tape.
So why is the reality show celebrity basically topless, sporting a duct tape bra?
Us magazine reported Thursday (Feb. 28) that she's doing it for the latest campaign by NoH8, the organization that promotes anti-bullying, pro-gay rights and gay marriage issues. In the photo shoot, she not only flaunts a duct tap bra but also the organization's signature covering of the mouth (also with duct tape) and the "NoH8" logo on her cheek.
The "Jersey Shore" and "Snooki and JWoww" star told MTV that she reached out to NOH8. “I messaged them [on Twitter] so I wouldn’t embarrass myself being like, ‘Hey, you guys want to do a photo shoot with me? I love your cause; I think it’s amazing.’ They completely agreed. The first opportunity I got to meet with them, I did. It was a great experience. The story blew up because of human kindness. Don’t hate on your fellow man. It’s very inspirational.”
Besides, they say that with a little duct tape, you can fix anything. Maybe some duct-taped breasts will be the catalyst for gay rights understanding. Who knows? It's certainly an attention-getter...
She said the organization's message means a lot to her because one of her best friends happens to be gay and that it was important to her that he be accorded the right to get married as anyone else has -- and to the partner of his choice. And how about a gay rights parade? She told MTV she would "totally do that" and take Snooki with her (Snooki agreed).
But it shouldn't come as a shock that Jenni "JWoww" Farley would make a fashion statement with a duct tape bra. She has her own line of provocative swimwear that defies gravity, where strapless tops remain in place via silicon adhesive made stickier by the wearer's body heat.
JWoww's been engaged since September to her boyfriend, Roger Mathews, but says there's no rush for planning a wedding (set for the Spring in Las Vegas) even though she says she's wanted to get married for about four years. However, she does know what kind of dress she wants.
"I know I want a tight princess cut dress," she says, "with boobs out and a bachelor/bachelorette party in Vegas."
Boobs out? Would that be with or without duct tape?
