Juventus FC wins its 28th victory for the Serie A season of 2013-2014. Juve accomplished this feat by defeating Udinese Calcio 2-0 on Monday afternoon.

As reported by ESPN Deportes, Juventus won with a final score of 2-0 in the 33 round of Serie A on Monday afternoon. The game was played at Friuli Stadium, home of Udinese.

The first goal for Juventus in the match against Udinese was made by Sebastian Giovinco in the 16th minute of the game. Giovinco curled the ball with a shot from the top left side of the box. Giovinco’s shot wrapped around diving Udinese’s goalkeeper Simone Scuffet and sunk in the right side of the net.

The second goal for Juve was made ten minutes later when a ball was centered into Udinese’s box. The ball pin-balled for a while until it was toe-punched into the net by Spaniard forward Fernando Llorente.

Despite the two-goal loss, Udinese played well, as the club persisted and created danger. In the end, Udinese had more shots than Juventus, 12 shots to 11, at the end of the game; however, no goals were registered for the home team.

The victory for Juventus FC is a club tying record―28th victory in a season. With five games left to this current season, Juve will have a chance to beat its own record.

The five remaining teams for Juventus to play are Bologna (17th), Sassuolo (19th), Atalanta (10th), AS Roma (2nd), and Cagliari (15th). Roma is the only team that poses as a threat, as it is in second place, behind by 8 points from Juve.

Additionally, if Juventus FC wins this year’s Scudetto, it will be the third consecutive title. With only five games left this season against four teams under 10th place and an eight point lead on 2nd-place AS Roma, the title looks to be very promising for Juve.
