Juventus FC missed out on two points in Copenhagen on Tuesday after tying a match that should have been a victory.
The tie was a huge prize for Copenhagen thanks to its goalkeeper from Sweden, Johan Wiland, who had a huge performance against the Italians.
The Italian champions did not play too well in the first minutes of the first half, as Copenhagen took the lead in the 14th minute. The goal was made by Nicolai Jorgensen.
Juventus’ opportunities were stifled by Wiland’s performance. As a result, the Italians were not able to tie the game until the second half.
In the 54th minute, Fabio Quagliarella scored the tying goal for Juve and saved the Italians the embarrassment of losing a match they were favored to win.
In the end, Juventus FC took 27 shots on goal and walked off the field with only one making the back of the net.
The game was played in Copenhagen; still, the Italians should have won the game as they outmatched their opponent in everything except in goals.
In the meantime, Spaniard giant Real Madrid slaughtered Galatasaray from Turkey 6-1. Real Madrid takes first place in Group B of the UEFA Champions League, while Juventus FC is tied for second with FC Copenhagen
