Juventus FC were victors in a quarter-final of the Coppa Italia against AC Milan on Wednesday. Juvi hosted the game and won it in overtime.
As reported by Yahoo News, AC Milan scored early in the game, minute 6, via center striker Stephan El Shaarawy, the current leading scorer of Serie A.
It didn’t take long for the host to tie the game. Six minutes later, midfielder Sebastian Giovinco scored the needed goal for Juvi.
Yahoo News stated that the game was a “high octane” match through the remaining of the time. The Rossoneri had to settle for a tie with the Old Lady (Juvi) at the 90th minute of the game.
Both teams came out gunning in the extra time of 30 minutes, but the hosts were the only successors at getting the goal. It was five minutes into the extra time that the Bianconeri scored with a goal made by Serbian striker Mirko Vucinic.
The victory put Juventus FC in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and to face Lazio. AC Milan gets eliminated from the tournament with the loss.
