Argentine striker Carlos Teves lifted Juventus FC with a victory against Catania on Sunday afternoon for round 29 of the Italian soccer league, Serie A.

As reported by ESPN Deportes, Tevez scored in the 59th minute of the game between Juve and Catania played at Angelo Massimino Stadium, Catania’s home. The lone goal was enough to give Juve the win.

Juve had control of the game as they outshot and controlled the ball longer than Catania. Additionally, Catania had a red card issued in the 67th minute, taking away any hopes to tie the game.

Juventus FC is currently the leader in the Italian soccer league and is trying to get the title for a third consecutive time.

The win over Catania was a step closer to accomplishing the title. AS Roma is in second place and trails Juve by 14 points. Also, there are now nine games left of the regular season in the Italian soccer league, Serie A.

Juventus FC will face Parma for round 30 on Wednesday. Parma is currently in fifth place, so the match will be a tough one for Juventus. On the good side, Juve will be hosting Parma.
