Justin Timberlake teams up with Jay-Z and Timbaland on 'Suit & Tie'

Pop singer Justin Timberlake dropped his highly anticipated single, “Suit & Tie,” on Sunday night. The classy number was produced by longtime collaborator Timbaland and features rapper Jay-Z.

Timberlake announced his return to the music scene earlier this week in a video. “I don't want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don't love. You just don't get that everyday. You have to wait for it,” he says in the brief clip entitled “I'm ready.” That wait is over.

“Suit & Tie” will be the lead single from Timberlake's first studio album since 2006's “FutureSex/LoveSounds.” The Timbaland-produced jam opens to a slowed, crunk start as Timberlake sings, “I'll be on my suit and tie sh-t.” The track then becomes a classier affair when its R&B stylings kick in. Timberlake croons like an absolute gentlemen before Jay-Z gets in on the action and raps about his affinity for the tuxedo.

With “Suit & Tie” also comes the news of Justin's upcoming album. The singer discussed the new record a bit in an open letter posted on his website.

“Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC. The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process. What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way,” Timberlake wrote.

His forthcoming album, “The 20/20 Experience,” will be released later in the year.
