Fans of Justin Timberlake’s music don’t have to wait any longer; a new single from his third solo album is expected to release Monday, Jauary 14, 2013.
The 31-year-old former NSYNC-er hasn't been in the charts since his 2008 collaboration with Madonna on 4 Minutes, and has been over six-years since his second solo album FutureSex/LoveSounds was released in September 2006.
Of course, Timberlake has been rather busy during this time away from music – he’s appeared in seven different movies, most notably portraying Sean Parker in The Social Network, and has made audiences laugh through repeated comedic performances on Saturday Night Live. In October 2012, Timberlake wed actress Jessica Biel after five years of on-and-off dating.
According to the Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, Timberlake has recorded around 20 songs for his third solo album. He is quoted in the teaser video that appeared on his website on Thursday January 10, 2013, as saying "Someone asked me the other day, 'So are you just done with music? .. .[But] I don't wanna put anything out that I don't love … You have to wait for it." In other words: we should be thankful he waited, as this means he truly loves what he has to offer the public in 2013.
