Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon have long been friends, and have done a number of things that not only make people sing along, but make them laugh. Well known for their "History of Rap" duets, the duo decided to bring something new to television on Sept. 24, 2013, and it was showing the world how dumb we all look using hashtags.
The short-video clip is making the rounds on the Internet on Wednesday morning, and it apparently has people laughing far too loudly in the most inappropriate places.
Twitter started the hashtag craze and then Facebook caught on, but Fallon and Timberlake wanted everyone to see just how dumb they look using #hashtags.
It is a rather simple video with Fallon joining Timberlake on a couch to watch some television, but then talking the same way everyone does when online. They say "hashtag" before everything they want to talk about and even make the symbol with their fingers.
Celebrities have gone on television before and read out some of the tweets they've been sent that are hateful, condescending, or even insane.
Never before has the world been treated to an actual out-loud conversation with hashtags. When listening to Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake, they actually have a point.
