Singer Justin Timberlake is bringin’ sexy back – not that it had ever left – by collaborating with American designer Tom Ford for his new single “Suit & Tie.” Yes folks, JT’s dressed to the nines in his suit and tie and he wants to show us a few things…
Actually, word has it that Tom Ford has created an entire collection of suits for Timberlake’s new dapper ditty, that smacks just a little bit of the Rat Pack, (a friendship forged in the 1960’s between Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop) and Vegas style – a little bit of whiskey, cigarette and cigar-puffing, a roll of the dice and plenty of timeless retro chic. Ford has reportedly also given creative direction for the music video.
As for the song itself, it’s all about “Rhythm & Blues” – think George Benson in the 1980’s and includes the rap style of singer Jay-Z…
According to the video posting on YouTube, Suit & Tie has been created by the Uprising Creative, with production by Jonathan Craven and Jeff Nicholas and direction by Laban Pheidias.
On their website, the Uprising Creative also claims that they have provided creative expertise for Justin Timberlake’s new single and provide the video for free viewing, with the tag, “setting the bar higher.”
Timberlake is also no stranger to fashion design, owning his own fashion label “William Rast,” which he founded in 2005, catering to both sexes. But there’s more to this new development in Justin Timberlake’s singing and fashion careers…
