Fans of the laid back, yet sexy looks of William Rast are in luck. 28-year-old Justin Timberlake and his long time friend and collaborator, Trace Ayala, are bringing their signature look to Target. Their collection will be available for a limited time, beginning December 19th.
The William Rast look
William Rast, which launched in 2005, has a cult celebrity following. Jessica Beil, Kate Hudson, and Fergie have all been sighted wearing pieces from the collection. The look is chic grunge, edgy and sexy. Men and women wearing the clothes exude an easy going confidence that comes with comfort, great fit, and the appeal of American style. The looks rely heavily on denim and leather, making them accessible to the average American consumer. The Target collection will feature denim, sportswear, and outerwear.
Target designer collaborations
William Rast is just the latest of many Target designer collaborations. In April, Zac Posen launched a limited edition collection for Target's GO International Line. Similarly, French designer Jean Paul Gaultier launched a collection in March. Thakoon, Anna Sui, and the late Lee McQueen are also past participants in Target's collaboration program.
In a world still dampened by a painfully slow economic recovery, designer collections have proved immensely popular, making them big money makers for big box stores. Wal-Mart, Kohl's, and H&M all have similar designer collaboration programs, which bring high fashion to the masses for a fraction of the cost.
How to get your William Rast clothing
Target's William Rast collection is a limited edition collection. This means if you want the best selection, it is best to visit Target on December 19th or soon after. Check before going to the closest Target store near your home, as the collection will be offered at select stores only. If there is not a collection at your store, don't fret. All items will be available online, at Target.com.
