On Jan. 10 the boy band member turned-solo artist-turned actor Justin Timberlake tweeted out a YouTube video of him announcing that has been recording new music. He also revealed his brand new official website which shows a countdown clock that is set to hit zero on Jan. 14 at 12 a.m. Eastern time. You can watch Justin Timberlake's announcement video here.
On Jan. 12 Timberlake tweeted out, ""AND, AS LONG AS I GOT MY SUIT AND TIE," and at the end of the tweet he once again posted the link to his countdown. His tweet could be lyrics to the rumored song that is set to premiere on Monday, Jan. 14.
The song is rumored to feature both Jay-Z and Timbaland. Timberlake previously worked with Timbaland on his second studio album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds" which was released in 2006. Timbaland produced ten out of the 12-tracks on that album.
In the announcement video Timberlake is seen walking through a recording studio and while he is walking a voice-over plays of Timberlake talking about his return to the music industry.
During the video he says:
Someone asked me the other day, 'So are you just done with music?' It means more to me than anybody else in the world. Look, I've only done two albums in ten years, that's the way I really look at it. What does the next decade mean for me. I'm the one that sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it. As close as I get to it, I don't know that I could physically torture myself that much, year in and year out, and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does and the way that it is right now. I don't wanna put anything out that I feel is something I don't love. You just don't get that every day. You have to wait for it. I'm ready.
