Justin “J-Ho” Houghton draws Cameron Dollar for Mardi Gras

Michigan boy turned Denverite, Justin “J-Ho” Houghton has shown an impressive MMA career so far and this Friday night’s Main Event will provide a stiff test for the 6-0 Denver based fighter. Fight To Win’s main event will feature “J-Ho” and TUF alum, Cameron Dollar to see exactly where each stands in the Colorado MMA community’s big picture. Houghton who normally fights at 155 lbs will drop his frame down to 145 lbs to tangle with Dollar in what many believe will be a great fight on hand.

Dollar has stated before that he is always excited to fight, but unsure how he has come to fight Houghton. Dollar is widely considered to be a serious handful for anyone in Colorado, as well as on the national MMA scene due to his experience and extremely tough reputation. Dollar has also stated that the perks of training in Denver, and especially out of the Grudge Training Center have created the opportunity for Houghton to face a more experienced and distinguished opponent like Cameron.

Houghton shrugs off the sentiments and has stated that he will let his fighting do the talking instead. He’s always been a big hitter with a very fast paced and exciting style of fighting, and he’s looking to put on a great show by displaying his new skills, cardio and range. “J-Ho” wants to create a reason for fans to stand up and scream as well as include him in any conversation about serious MMA Colorado talent. Discussing opponents in a negative light is simply not
Houghton’s thing. Never a smack talker in a sometimes “smack-talking” line of work, “J-Ho” is a very quiet, respectful and hard working mixed martial artist looking to make a name for himself by focusing on the positives. Even though there was no mention of “J-Ho” for this year’s Colorado Mixed Martial Arts Award Show, Houghton plans on creating an indelible memory for 2013’s show by dazzling fans with his high pace, versatile skills and clean-sheet record for this upcoming 2012 year.

When we asked J-Ho what kind of fight he thinks Dollar will give him, he simply stated that he respects Cameron very much because of the name he’s made for himself and that he expects a true dogfight out of the iconic Colorado Springs featherweight. “J-Ho” also feels that due to his mental toughness and the level of training partners he tangles with on a daily basis…if this title fight comes down to a war of attrition…..not only will he be ready, but….he won’t break.

This Fight To Win Main Event fight will take place on Friday night, February 24th at the National Western Complex. Seth Daniels & company never put on a bad show, and this Mardi Gras themed show will be no different. We’ve been saying it for years now….there is no better way to spend an evening with your friends and family than watching and supporting local MMA fighters entertain us with their teammates and friends….a true win-win situation for all. Tickets are still available at the door and this Mardi Gras theme will surely be a colorful, festive and entertaining night Denver….so come out & see us at the fights. Happy Mardi Gras Denver!!
