News came out today that Justin Hartley is joining the cast of "The Young and the Restless" as Adam Newman. Ever since Michael Muhney was fired viewers have wanted to know who would take over as him. On Tuesday, We Love Soaps confirmed that Justin has the job.

"Y&R" fans are unsure of anyone else playing the part. He has some big shoes to fill and only time will tell how great he does at the job. Justin admits that he does watch the show all the time so he could be a really good fit. Justin will start the filming in September, but won't actually be on the show until November.

Justin Hartley is part of the show "Mistresses" on ABC and has a really great part going right now. Joss has finally found love and the two are set to get married. They seem to be a perfect match. Now the fact that he is on a new show means that he could be leaving this show. It would be devastating if they decided to kill off his character after Joss has finally been able to settle down with someone.

As of right now, "Mistresses" will be over before Justin starts filming on "Young and the Restless." It is very possible that somehow he will find the time to do both. Last year when "Mistresses" came to an end it took a while before ABC confirmed that it was coming back for another season.

"Mistresses" is airing season two on ABC right now. TV Series Finale shared that last week the show had over 3.5 million viewers. This does make things look good for the show, but season three has not been confirmed yet either. It is a summer show and Justin could just take time off of "Y&R" to keep doing this show as well if it is picked up for another season.
