Justin Edwards submits Josh Neer in only 45 seconds

It only took Justin Edwards 45 seconds to earn the biggest win in his UFC career.

The Mansfield, Ohio native took on long time UFC veteran Josh Neer on the main card at UFC on FX 5. The welterweight bout aired live on FX and took place in Minneapolis, Minn.

Edwards came out of the gate quickly with a one-two-one combination that sent Neer backing up against the cage. With Neer’s back against the cage, the former “Ultimate Fighter” went for a takedown but was quickly stuffed.

After a short exchange up against the cage, Edwards jumped up and wrapped his legs around Neer’s body and locked in a guillotine choke. Neer tried to defend the choke but dropped to his knees.

Once Neer hit the ground it was only a matter of seconds before he was out cold and the ref had to quickly jump in to stop the fight.

With the Win, Edwards moves his record to 8-2 and earned his second UFC win. Edwards also has now won five fights by guillotine choke.

With the loss, Neer drops his record to 33-12 and has now lost two straight fights.
