It's was party time as Justin Chon and friends celebrated his upcoming film release of Relativity Media's "21 and Over" with a college themed party at The Attic Clothing Store (co-founded by Justin Chon) in Buena Park, CA this past weekend.
The clothing store was transformed into a party palace with the typical college party set up of beer pong tables, ping pong table and an open bar provided by PBR. Music was pumping by DJ 2One spinning the hottest tracks around. Guests feasted on food from NWA, an Orange County Asian fusion and teriyaki inspired food truck, and a Mexican fusion food truck Dos Chinos along with The Viking Food Truck, specializing in Polish sausages and hot dogs with a European twist.
Speaking to Justin on the red carpet, Pacific Rim Video's Chris Trondsen asked Justin about being one of the lead actors in the film and reaping for the Asian Americans, "Lots of people think it may be a stereotypical role, but watch the movie. I'm one of the guys. I'm not objectified. I'm really proud of the film. I'm glad Jon and Scott (writers of the film and "The Hangover) were willing to take a risk on me along with Relativity Media putting my face on everything," said Chon.
The partygoers can't wait to see the film including celebrity guests Brian Hirano, Ryan Feng, Hok Konishi and Steve Terada of Quest Crew, BTek of The Jabbawockeez and Phil Wang of Wong Fu Productions.
BTek of the Jabbawockeez was happy about Justin's starring role in the film. "I'm very excited for Justin. I've known Justin for a bit and he's being doing his thing and this is first major role. I've seen the trailer for it and it looks hilarious. People from "'The Hangover.'" You can't go wrong with that."
In the film, Jeff Chang (Justin Chon) is about to turn 21 and his best buddies (Skylar Astin and Miles Teller) take him out celebrate the night before an important medical school interview. Chang agrees to party for a quick minute but the night turns into a whole adventure in its own.
Ending the night of the college party at The Attic, attendees were sent home with a special red cup filled with "21 and Over" hangover remedies including sunglasses, ibuprofen, along with stickers from The Attic. Photos by Wackyface.
"21 and Over" opens in theaters on March 1.
