Millie Flamm, who is seven-years-old, had tickets for Justin Bieber’s Salt Lake City concert on Saturday night, Jan 5, but Millie could not go because she has leukemia and had to be hospitalized for the third time when she had a relapse, Fox 13 News in Salt Lake City reported.
Millie got the surprise of her life though when Justin Bieber visited her at Primary Children’s Hospital on Saturday evening, even delaying his concert for a bit just so he could visit Millie.
A group of mothers had come together to make a push on Facebook and Twitter to get Justin to come to Primary Children’s Hospital before the Saturday night concert. The Flamm family was not sure whether Justin would make the visit. They did not even know if Bieber had seen the petition, and Mille had no idea about the attempt to bring Justin to visit her in the hospital.
Justin Bieber must have seen the campaign, or been informed about it by his representatives, because “The Biebs” did show up to visit with Millie.
Millie’s mother said:
"All of a sudden it pulled through and we were able to do a really intimate little meeting with just her and us and Justin and it was incredible and he was so sweet to her. He walked in and her whole face just lit up, and she turned around and hugged her dad, and then he ran over and came next to her and gave her a big hug."
Bieber sang Millie's song to her, "Baby," while holding her hand and then he gave her his guitar pic.
"She is squeezing on to it with all her might and will not let it go," Amanda Flamm said.
Bieber also gave her a kiss on the cheek before leaving, prompting Millie to tell her mother, "'You are never going to wash my face again.'"
The meeting will also help Millie as she continues her cancer treatment, her mother said.
