Justin Bieber under investigation for Nerf gun assault

The Canadian Mounties always get their man, so will they get fellow Canadian Justin Bieber? A Saturday report indicates the "Baby" singer is under investigation for assault -- with a Nerf gun.

It sounds as though someone is overly sensitive, if getting hit with a projection from a child-safe Nerf gun causes this sort of reaction. The story, again -- first noted on Saturday -- said that Bieber was in his native country of Ottawa, Canada last November when a police report was filed against him. Reportedly, a female employee of the venue where he was performing claimed Bieber -- or someone right next to the Biebs -- assaulted her by hitting her with a Nerf projectile.

Originally, it wasn't known what she was hit with, but as the new report notes, it was a Nerf gun dart.

The full story -- from sources familiar with the situation -- is that Bieber was playing with his three-year-old brother and four-year-old sister with Nerf guns. One of the darts allegedly hit the woman.

The sources said the woman had a hissy-fit and told Bieber's team that she was a security guard for the event. She filed a police report and the authorities are actually taking it seriously, going so far as to interviewing some witnesses at the scene.

It is unclear where this will go, but if it ends up like the recently dropped "screaming fan" lawsuit, Bieber will come out smelling like a rose, or perhaps some ganja.
