Details are sketchy at this point, but it seems Bieber wlll send his mentor, Usher, to mentor the remaining ten contestants instead of doing it himself, Miley Cyrus-style.
The Canadian Bieber is something of a sensation in music, with a versatile voice that reminds one of a young Michael Jackson, but with a modern twist. Bieber's career started when he placed second in a local singing competition in 2007 and began posting contest videos on YouTube. The videos caught the attention of talent agent Scooter Braun, who helped Bieber gain an impromptu audition with Usher. Impressed by what he saw, Usher, along with Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid, quickly signed the 15-year-old.
Bieber's singles were released one at a time, starting with "Baby", a collaboration with Ludacris. That song set into motion a fan frenzy, and Bieber soon found himself releasing two albums, "My World" and "My World 2.0".
Of course, for every fan, there is a hater. On iTunes, people have commented that Bieber is the "worst singer ever" and "should stop now before he gets any worse." However on his official fan page, his fans (called the "Bieber Nation") have nothing but praise for the young singer. And his tour tickets are selling out in record time.
Justin is booked as musical guest on Saturday Night Live on April 10, and his career is just getting started. Not too shabby for a 16-year-old.
