Justin Bieber talks Mother's Day, competition with 'American Idol' mentor

Contrary to what millions of Americans may believe, teen singing sensation Justin Bieber is really just like everyone else. He still has friends, he still has family -- and yes, he still celebrates Mother's Day.

In an interview with Us Magazine, the "Baby" singer talks about what some of his plans are for Sunday's big holiday:

"We're just going to have relaxing Sunday. Not exactly sure what we're going to do yet. I'm just glad we get to spend the day together."

Justin also got the opportunity to talk about a new light-hearted competition between himself and mentor Usher -- both of their respective albums, "My World 2.0" and "Raymond vs. Raymond," recently hit stores:

"It's cool to have that friendly competition with someone I admire so much. It's an honor to have an album out at the same time as him."

Both Justin and Usher recently took part in "American Idol."

Are you glad that Justin Bieber can spend some time with his mom Sunday? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest news. (Click here for recent photos of Justin.)
