Rumors continue to abound in the Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez breakup this week, with Entertainmentwise reporting this Tuesday, Jan. 8, that a possible reason behind the “Jelena” split may have been because of Justin’s interest in another woman named Barbara (thought to be model Barbara Palvin). Yet another Entertainmentwise insider also confirmed this Tuesday that both Justin and Selena “still care very much for each other,” and with the Biebs calling Selena Gomez “100 times a day,” may not want their rocky relationship to end so soon.
After the talented Selena Gomez was spotted leaving her getaway to Mexico with Justin Bieber early, news came crashing down that “Jelena” had split up.
“Justin and Selena had a blow-out argument on New Year’s Eve and had a breakup. They haven’t seen each other since.”
Yet the source adds that Justin Bieber may want to get back together with Selena Gomez, as the “Believe” star was said to still “care about her very much.”
"They both still care very much about each other, actually," said the source originally to Daily Mail, who feels that the "Jelena" couple may get back together again in the future.
Now, reports say that Selena Gomez may still have been touchy over Justin Bieber’s friendship with supermodel Barbara Palvin (along with cheating rumors at the time). Apparently, “Barbara” was a name brought up during their trip to Mexico, though no follow-up on whether this was the Victoria’s Secret supermodel was made.
The New York Post’s Cindy Adams reportedly claimed that Selena was angry “Justin was still talking to [someone] named Barbara.”
However, these reports remain unconfirmed, as the rumors that Justin Bieber was cheating on Selena Gomez with Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin were debunked back in November 2012.
What only remains certain for “Jelena” fans is that Selena Gomez is keeping quiet on her split with Justin Bieber for now, and as she herself or the Biebs haven’t opened up on the breakup, only they know for sure the reason behind their “blowup argument.”
