Justin Bieber smoking weed: Singer to host 'SNL' with pot jokes allowed (Video)

Jokes about Justin Bieber smoking weed won't be off limits when the singer hosts an upcoming episode of "Saturday Night Live." Apparently the young pop sensation's camp has agreed with "SNL" that the subject will be fair game on the sketch comedy show.

The website TMZ.com reported on Jan. 9 that Justin has actually informed producers "to push him as far as they want." That would certainly include the recent controversy which included photos of the singer using marijuana. The recent issue has led to some fans vowing to cut themselves over it, and even singer Miley Cyrus speaking out about the issue.

The Biebs will now look to make an appearance following one of his first major controversies. TMZ notes that both Paris Hilton and Alec Baldwin were able to make light of their controversies right after they were fresh in the minds of the public. Baldwin had his "Words with Friends" plane controversy, while Hilton appeared on the show not long after her sex tape made its big debut.

Bieber will be hosting "Saturday Night Live" on the Saturday, Feb. 9 episode of the show. Not only will he serve as the host, but also as the guest musician performing during the night. Roanoke viewers can watch Bieber and "SNL" on NBC affiliate station WSLS 10.
