Justin Bieber says he has few friends, but Chris Brown defends him and Lil Twist

Justin Bieber claims that it’s very lonely at the top. But according to an April 2 report by Us Weekly, the pop star also says that he doesn’t need a lot of friends to keep him happy.

Here’s what he told Teen Vogue about his lack of pals: “I get good vibes from people all the time, and I probably could get along with them and be their friend, but now I just don't trust anybody. Literally, my phone never rings. I only have, like, four people that I keep in contact with. I don't need a bunch of friends to make me happy. I just need the people close to me that I love, that's all.”

If Justin gets too lonely, he could always go pick up his poor monkey Mally. She was seized from the Biebs when he tried to smuggle her into Munich, and now he has four weeks to retrieve his pet from the animal shelter where she was placed under quarantine. And while Justin Bieber claims that he doesn’t trust anybody, he obviously does trust a trio of guys -- he lets Lil Twist, King Kevi, and a third unknown friend live at his mansion rent-free. They get to drive Justin’s cars and throw parties where the illegal substance “sizzurp” is served. It’s really sad if these guys are three of the four people that Justin keeps in contact with.

Perhaps Justin’s lack of close friends has something to do with why he’s having such a hard time dealing with his breakup from Selena Gomez -- he doesn't have anyone to really talk to about his feelings. According to TMZ, sources close to the Biebs say that his recent bout of bad behavior has nothing to do with his housemates being a bad influence on him -- instead he’s being “tortured” by Selena. She keeps calling and texting Justin, so he probably doesn’t understand why she won’t just take him back. Selena Gomez could be trying to spark up a new friendship with her ex, but this obviously won’t work if Justin still has strong feelings for her. So instead Selena's attempts to reach out to him are just messing with his head.

If Justin Bieber wants to win his ex back, perhaps he should start spending more time with his old pal Chris Brown -- it took a few years, but Breezy did eventually find a way to win Rihanna back. And Breezy is definitely on Team Bieber. According to OK! Magazine, here’s what Chris said about Justin during an interview on Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club: "It's a case of how I feel. Being young, having a limitless amount of income to do whatever you want. You have nobody who's going to say, ‘Hey bro, you look whack right now.’”

However, Chris Brown doesn’t agree with claims that Lil Twist might be a bad influence on Justin. He went on to say, "I feel like the mainstream media... they're going to target the little black boys around him and say this is why he's doing it. I'm damn sure glad I'm not around.” It might not be Lil Twist’s fault that Justin is acting the way he is, but the Biebs’ housemates are definitely being enablers. And it’s highly unlikely that Lil Twist will ever risk getting kicked out of the Biebs’ mansion by telling him that he looks “whack.” Chris concluded with this comment: "I pray for him, I pray for myself. I think we're both great artists... he's like a baby Elvis.”

So do you think that Justin should ditch Lil Twist to start hanging out with someone like Breezy who will tell him like it is? And should he keep working on winning Selena back since she seems to be the one thing that keeps him stable, or does he need to learn to live without her?
