Justin Bieber's private jet searched for pot in Toronto

Pop singer Justin Bieber's private jet was detained at Toronto International Airport this morning because of a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the aircraft, according to ABC News, Feb. 1, 2014. Bieber and his father reportedly were headed to the Super Bowl festivities in New Jersey when the detainment occurred. There was no word as to whether or not Justin Bieber was on board the plane when it was searched.

Bieber was returning to the United States after making a court appearance in Toronto on charges of assault on a limo driver last December. Bieber pleaded not guilty to that assault charge.

The assault charge is one of many recent legal entanglements in which Bieber has found himself involved. He also was arrested for DUI in Florida along with a charge of resisting arrest, drag racing and driving with an expired driver's license.

In the United States a petition with over 100,000 signatures has been presented to the White House calling for Bieber to be deported back to his native Canada. The White House will be responding over the next couple of months. We will be advising you of the latest details as they emerge.
