Pop teen star Justin Bieber has been released from a Miami jail after posting bond for his arrest early Thursday morning (Jan. 23) according to news reports.

The teen heartthrob was released from jail at approximately 1:00 pm. EST in Miami after posting bond money in the amount of $2,500.

Bieber was arrested around 1:15 a.m. in Miami, Fl. for suspected DUI and racing. After being pulled over, the police officer smelled alcohol. Bieber's blood alcohol level was measured at .04. Since the singer is under the age of 21, he can be legally charged for a DUI in the state of Florida.

Bieber also admitted to smoking marijuana and the Miami police report also states that he was under the influence of prescription drugs at the time. Bieber, 19, was also charged with non-violent resist of arrest.

Bieber was drag racing in a yellow Lamborghini along with pal Khalil Sharief, an R&B singer, who was in a red Ferrari. The location of the drag racing was in a residential area where the speed limit is 30 mph. The Miami police reports that both drivers were exceeding the speed limit and estimated they were going 55-60 mph. Sharief was also arrested.

It seems like the Bieb has more things to worry about than his California home being raided for drugs now. He could face time in jail, a fine and an automatic suspension of his driver's license since he is under 21, (which was expired) just for the DUI charges. First offense for drag racing could get him six months in jail, a fine up to $1,000 and a one year license suspension.

Let's hope Bieber shapes up before he falls so far down his career in music can't be saved.
