Justin Bieber rushed to London hospital after collapsing onstage (Video)

Canadian teen pop star Justin Bieber collapsed during a performance in London Thursday night, and had to be taken to an area hospital after complaining of breathing problems.

Bieber, 19, was taken backstage after collapsing during the show and was given oxygen for about 20 minutes while a doctor checked him. Bieber insisted on finishing his concert before being taken to a London hospital for observation.

Thursday's show at London's O2 arena was the third of four concerts Bieber has scheduled in London on his "Believe" world tour.

The singer took to his @justinbieber Twitter account to tell fans he was "getting better" and to say

"thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. best fans in the world. figuring out what happened. thanks for the love."

Before Justin returned to the stage his manager, Scooter Braun, went onstage and told those in the audience that Bieber was "very light of breath, the whole show he has been complaining."

A few hours after the incident Justin used his Instagram account to upload a picture of himself relaxing in a hospital bed to show fans he was alright.

Fans quickly began circulating the hashtag "#justintakeabreak" on Twitter after news of his collapse spread on the social network.

Last week Justin Bieber was forced to defend himself after rumors surfaced that he threw a fit when security at a London club refused entry to underage friends in town to celebrate his birthday. Bieber later tweeted that he and his entourage left club Cirque du Soir because security was acting aggressively towards fans outside.
