TMZ, sourcing people close to Bieber, reported this morning that before the tragic accident on New Year’s Day, freelance photographer Chris Guerra had been accused of stalking and harassing the singer, “following and chasing him at every opportunity.”
A a source for the agency told TMZ that Guerra claimed he saw Bieber earlier on New Year’s Day smoking what he believed was marijuana from a pipe while driving the Ferrari.
However new information has revealed that it was actually Bieber’s friend, rapper Lil Twist, that was driving the Ferrari and who Guerra was following when he was struck by an SUV in oncoming traffic.
Another source claims that Guerra lied again when he said he saw Bieber and Selena Gomezat the Four Seasons Hotel together on New Year's Day, however the ex-couple hadn't seen each other since Dec. 30th.
"It's really sad that people are trying to push a story without the facts so soon after this tragic accident,” the singer’s rep told TMZ.
Last year, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge threw out charges related to a first-of-its-kind anti-paparazzi law in a case involving Bieber being chased on the 101 Freeway by photographer Paul Raef. Passed in 2010, the law created punishments for paparazzi who drove dangerously to obtain images.
