Justin Bieber hams it up for the video camera as he responds to questions during a lawsuit deposition. The 20-year old pop star is being sued for battery by a Miami photographer who was allegedly assaulted by Bieber’s bodyguard.
As TMZ reports (March 10), the deposition footage shows Bieber appearing arrogant, contentious and disrespectful as he’s grilled in the hot seat. He seems to be mirroring his longtime rapper pal Lil Wayne, who was featured on his song, "Backpack". If you've ever seen Lil Wayne’s deposition video, watching Bieber’s antics in this one is like deja vu.
Bieber answers most of the questions with the phrase “I don’t recall”, just like Lil Wayne did during his own interrogation with a series of “I don’t recall” and “I don’t know” responses. “That doesn’t even make sense, that’s a weird question,” Bieber said in reply to one of the lawyer’s inquiries. Similarly, Lil Wayne is seen accusing attorney Pete Ross of asking a “stupid ass” question during his deposition.
When the lawyer asked Bieber to listen before answering a question: “I don’t have to listen to anything you have to say,” Bieber said defiantly. In comparison, Lil Wayne told Ross, “I don’t have to do anything.”
Bieber gets stern when the lawyer asks him about Selena Gomez. “Don’t ask me about her again,” Bieber said repeatedly. Implying that the deposition questioning was a news interview, “Well, I don't know, Katie Couric, you tell me," Bieber said.
The photographer who filed the case claims that his camera equipment was stolen during the assault and that Bieber ordered the attack.
