Singer Lily Allen has lost her baby at 6-months due to miscarriage.
"It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby," Allen's rep told PEOPLE magazine in a statement Tuesday. "The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made."
ELTON JOHN: "GODSPEED, LILY"
On Saturday, the British song star was expected to perform at a fundraiser for Elton John's AIDS Foundation but no-showed without much explanation. In the past, Lily had said having children was "ultimately her main goal in life".
According to sources, Elton John merely explained to the crowd she wouldn't be attending but "shared his best wishes, telling the crowd, 'Godspeed, Lily. We wish you well and send you all of our love'".
FRIEND: LILY IS "INCONSOLABLE" AFTER SECOND MISCARRIAGE
The miscarriage is the second for the 25-year-old star. The first taking place in 2008 during her relationship with musician Ed Simons. In August of this year, Lily and current boyfriend Sam Cooper announced she was three months pregnant via Twitter.
A friend close to the family told The Sun, "Lily is inconsolable. Sam's comforting her but she's devastated."
LOVE FROM FELLOW STARS
Teen sensation Justin Bieber tweeted love to Lily via Twitter saying, "Just heard the news. My prayers go out to Lily Allen and her family" while Katy Perry tweeted, "Praying for Lily" early Tuesday.
Spice Girl Emma Bunton sent out her love via Twitter, writing, "Thinking of Lily Allen and her partner at this very sad time. Sending them lots of love."
