Google nemesis Bing.com, the search engine run by Microsoft, released its trends for 2011 (even though the year is yet to come to an end). The most searched celebrity was 17-year-old Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber.
Bing didn't release any specific information about how often Bieber's name was entered, but it was enough that he surpassed not only 2010's #1 musician, Lady Gaga, but also last year's #1 in the celebrity category, Kim Kardashian!
While Bieber may have scored the top spot, it was otherwise dominated by the women. The top female on the list was Katy Perry, in at #2. Following were Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears, with Lady Gaga landing at the #5 spot.
Then came Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez at #6. Nicki Minaj was #7, Rihanna was #8, and Houston native/mom-to-be Beyonce came in at #9. Taking last place on the top ten list is country star Taylor Swift.
