A Justin Bieber Instagram pic is drawing comparisons to Michael Jackson, and Bieber himself is one of the people making the dubious connection. The troubled 19-year-old pop singer, who was arrested for alleged drag racing and other assorted infractions late last week, posted his picture online alongside a similar pic of the departed King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
According to People, the Justin Bieber Instagram pic was accompanied by a message that read "What more can they say" followed by a crown. Does the crown refer to Jackson's King of Pop moniker?
Both photos are black and white and show their respective subjects perched atop an SUV, waving at the starstruck fans gathered below. The Justin Bieber Instagram pic was taken in Miami after the singer was released following Thursday's arrest. The Michael Jackson pic was taken in 2004, during his trial for child abuse.
Jackson was later acquitted of all charges. He died on June 25, 2009; his cause of death was ruled as acute propofol intoxication, which is hardly a consummation devoutly to be wished, making the comparison of Justin Bieber's Instagram pic to Jackson's picture an unusual choice for the young star.
