Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had planned a romantic getaway to Mexico to ring in the new year together, but things apparently didn’t go as planned. Sources are saying today that the couple split once again after they had a “nuclear” blowout on Dec. 30, and Selena Gomez abruptly left their Mexican holiday solo. Justin Bieber flew out the next day, according to The N.Y. Daily News yesterday. Insiders claim it’s Justin’s busy schedule that is one of the biggest problems with the relationship.
All of the commotion over the death of the paparazzo photographer, Christopher Guerra, back in L.A. on Tuesday has overshadowed news of this latest split.
With the 18 year-old pop star so busy with commitments and concerts, it leaves the 20 year-old actress Gomez alone. When Justin isn’t around and Selena is left to party alone, it drives him crazy, according to Aceshowbiz.
The two had been photographed just before Christmas relaxing in Salt Lake City, and looked happy as they were seen kissing and snuggling up to each other. They were also spotted hanging out with Selena’s pal Taylor Swift and Harry Styles on a double date before heading south of the border.
The couple were seen taking photos with a female fan upon arriving in Mexico, but later there was a noticeable absence of Gomez in pics that Justin posted to Instagram. A source for the News says the two haven’t seen each other since the fight.
“They keep breaking up and getting back together”, the insider said. “It's an on-again, off-again relationship. It's probably not correct to characterize this as a final breakup”, they added.
The pair’s rocky relationship has been on thin ice since November when they called it quits on their two years together. Ever since, it seems they’ve been on a roller coaster ride of breaking up and making up.
But just as the tabloids say, the two are likely not done with each other just yet. If so, we’d probably have some news on one of them hooking up with someone new and that hasn’t happened yet.
