Justin Bieber goes through puberty: Voice change, new hairdo and six-pack abs

Justin Bieber is going through puberty, and it's evident in his changing voice.

“Justin is physically developing at a slower rate than most guys, so his voice is only breaking now," a source tells UK tabloid News of the World.

"He’s working with the best in the business, a specialist called Jan Smith, to make sure he gets much vocal rest as humanly possible for a working pop star. It’s the same people who worked with Usher when his voice broke.”

JUSTIN'S VOICE IS BREAKING NOW

Bieber, 16, previously confirmed he's working with Atlanta-based vocal teacher Jan Smith as his voice adjusts to a deeper intonation.

As a result, Justin reportedly lip-synced his performance on the British TV show The X Factor on Nov. 28, 2010, where he wowed the live audience with his slick dance moves and even flirted from the stage with judge Cheryl Cole.

Justin waved and smiled at Cheryl, 27, saying: "I want to say hello to Cheryl Cole: Hello."

If that wasn't enough, he later tweeted: "Cheryl, you looked lovely as usual."

BIEBS HAS A 6-PACK

Justin, who's 5'4" and weighs 108 pounds, previously expressed concern that he might stay short because his hectic work schedule cuts into his sleep time.

But singer Rihanna says the Canadian pop sensation has been developing, and even has sexy six-pack abs.

Meanwhile, Bieber recently made headlines for cutting his trademark swoosh hairdo, sporting a more mature and masculine look.

Justin, who made Barbara Walters' list of the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2010, will debut his 3D concert documentary, Never Say Never, in theaters Feb. 11, 2011.
