Justin Bieber fans really came through to help others. The entertainer put out the call to assist in helping the people of the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan and raise desperately needed funds. With the generosity of fans who all gave what they could, the star has succeeded in raising over a million dollars on Sunday.
“We did it!! #GiveBackPhilippines - the work doesn't stop here. Thank you,” tweeted Justin Bieber from his official Twitter account on Sunday. The star thanked the fans for their generosity and reminded everyone just how important it was to give to charity. From a buck or two to fifty dollars, fans looked at their personal budgets and gave what they could. All of which added up very quickly.
The contributions of the fans will continue to grow until the campaign ends on Monday, but for those fans who have given, there has to be a sense of accomplishment. The will the funds help people who are trying to rebuild after a natural disaster and make sure individuals eat.
While Justin Bieber has always been a contributor to different charities, this opportunity will make an immediate difference in an area that has been suffering. Suffice to say the Typhoon Haiyan victims will be grateful to see the generosity of Justin’s fans.
