Bieber hinted around on Monday by tweeting, "maybe im hosting and performing on SNL...maybe. :)" (sic) A day later, a source close to Bieber confirmed that it’s all set. He will be promoting his “Believe Acoustic” album, as well as having some fun on the show as the host.
This isn’t the first time Justin Bieber has appeared on “Saturday Night Live.” He was the musical guest in April 2010. "It was fun, just acting [with host Tina Fey]," Bieber told MTV News at the time. "It was cool to get to be a part of 'SNL.'"
Justin Bieber is just one of a few musicians who will be hosting “Saturday Night Live” this year. Adam Levine from Maroon 5 will host on Jan. 26 with Kendrick Lamar as musical guest. “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence will be the first 2013 host on the Jan. 19 show with The Lumineers as musical guest.
Justin Bieber likes to keep his name in the news and this announcement about "Saturday Night Live" comes on the heels of a photo scandal involving pictures of Justin allegedly smoking what appeared to be a joint. He tweeted: "everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up." (sic)
So if you’re a Biebs fan, make sure you don’t miss “Saturday Night Live” on Feb. 9.
