Justin Bieber compares media to school bullies: ‘I’m still finding myself'

Justin Bieber has an interesting take on how he is perceived in the media. The artist was on the air Monday and heard by Los Angeles fans listening to the On Air With Ryan Seacrest Show. It’s hard to believe the 19-year-old artist performed over 150 shows in 2013. And it’s harder to believe the negative attention about his life hasn't stopped even though the star is currently overseas and away from the gossip tabloids. On Monday Justin shared why people need to see his upcoming movie Believe.

“People don’t get to see me living as a 19-year-old boy … I’m still finding myself and when I have the media attacking me everyday, it’s no [different] than bullying that happens in school,” said Justin Bieber on the On Air With Ryan Seacrest Show. “I think this movie really shows who I am as a person … of course I make mistakes growing up … and I’m not perfect … people forget I’m a human being [and] I have to make mistakes and grow stronger.”

Justin Bieber’s loyal fans will agree that the star is unmercifully followed and most of the time negatively portrayed. It’s become more obvious to the average music lover too. Rarely is Justin’s humanitarian or volunteer offerings shared in the media and yet we hear all about his graffiti antics. We’d rather hear about his volunteering any day of the week as it is inspiring and most of this negative stuff is made up.

When considering that Justin Bieber is only 19, it’s important that we give the artist some slack. After all he is a teenager first and nobody needs to feel like they are being bullied. The Believe movie opens in theaters on Christmas.
