On Mar. 7, 2013, teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, was rushed to a hospital after he collapsed on stage during a London concert performance. A spokesperson for the singer told Reuters he experienced “shortness of breath” during the show—the third of four at the O2 Arena as part of the “Believe” world tour.
Melissa Victor said, “[Justin] fainted and took a 20-minute reprieve to the stage and was given oxygen.”
The 19 year old international superstar was examined at a local hospital after emergency personnel gave him oxygen, according to TMZ.
The tabloid reports that during the concert, Bieber stumbled and collapsed with four songs remaining in his repertoire. He was advised to immediately seek medical attention, but he refused saying he had to complete the show for his fans, sources told TMZ.
Scooter Braun, the teenager’s representative, took to the stage and told the audience that Bieber had “very light breath” and was “backstage with the EMTs and the doctor.”
Bieber decided the show must go on and received a “HUGE ovation” upon returning to the stage to complete his set of songs, wrote TMZ.
The website notes that Bieber is still at the hospital being treated for the incident.
