Justin Bieber has canceled his March 12 concert date in Portugal according to the Huffington Post on March 11. The singer is still set to perform on March 11 at Lisbon's Pavilhao Atlantico according to the report.
Huffington Post's sources cite a local Portugal newspaper as saying the reason for the cancellation is “insufficient demand.”
The news comes after a rough week of drama Justin had in London where he had four sold-out shows. The trouble started when Bieber showed up two hours late for a concert and fans were agitated. Many booed and jeered and the singer faced criticism from fans that had to depart from the show before its completion because of the late start.
During another show, Justin was forced to take a break so that he could get "oxygen and treatment backstage." The singer returned to the stage and finished the show but then went to the hospital.
On the morning of the final London concert, Bieber got into an altercation with a group of paparazzi. Footage from the incident showed the singer yelling profanities and making threats before someone from his team held him back.
Bieber has not talked about the concert cancellation in Portugal on his Twitter account as yet but the tour date, which did appear on his official schedule, has been removed. Perhaps the drama in London soured his Portuguese fans.
