According to reports, the singer was drag racing down a residential street with an expired license, and when stopped by police resisted arrest.
According to the arrest report, Bieber "had slow deliberate movements" and a look of stupor on his face when the officer ordered him to exit his vehicle. He was placed under arrest after repeatedly refusing to put his hands on his vehicle so the officer could pat him down to look for weapons, the report said. Bieber was given a Breathalyzer, which indicated he was intoxicated.
According to police Bieber later admitted that he had been drinking, smoking marijuana and taking prescription medication.
Bieber was reportedly arrested after he was seen racing his yellow Lamborghini down the residential street at 4:09 a.m., with two other vehicles apparently being used to block off the area. Police say Bieber was clocked at 55 to 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.
After standing before Dade County Judge Joseph P. Farina later today, Bieber was released on $2,500 bail.
The Canadian-born singer has had his fair share of run-ins with the law as of late, but Bieber attributes his less than tasteful behavior to him being a teenager and still being in search of self.
Bieber recently spoke with Ryan Seacrest via his radio show in which he responded to the negative attention he has been receiving as of late "People don't get to see me living as a 19-year-old boy…I'm still finding myself and when I have the media attacking me every day it's no [different] than bullying that happens in school."
I hope and pray this young man comes to realize the frailty of life and begins to search beyond the surface to find his way so he will actually be here to enjoy the fruit of his labor and the platform he was given.
