Justin Bieber has been arrested in Canada after an accident with his all-terrain vehicle (ATV), according to ABC News on Tuesday afternoon. Bieber’s ATV crashed into a minivan that was operated by paparazzi. The incident finds the pop music sensation being charged with dangerous driving and assault on Friday afternoon in Perth County, Ontario. Authorities claim that there was a physical altercation between Bieber and the paparazzo following the accident involving the ATM and the minivan.

Bieber was with singer-entertainer Selena Gomez, riding on the ATV. Bieber’s lawyer, Brian H. Greenspan, claims that Bieber and Gomez are both fully cooperating with the investigation by police into the accident and alleged assault. He said that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’ peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of the paparazzi. He says that the incident in which Bieber has faced new charges of dangerous driving and assault is regrettable. He also asserted that it is hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved.

Police have said that Bieber was released but has to appear in court on September 29 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford, according to TMZ. This presents a problem for Bieber as he is currently on probation. He was put on probation for two years after an incident near his former home in Los Angeles. There, he egged his neighbors house and needed to pay restitution while being placed on probation. It is reported that this latest incident could very possibly result in a violation of that probation.

Bieber, 20, whose homeland is Canada, has resolved other legal matters recently. The other legal matters involved allegations of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving at excessive speeds over the posted speed limits, and other physical altercations. The physical altercations involve members of the paparazzi who continue to photograph him when he isn’t performing.
