Justin Bieber arrested: Bieber busted for DUI and drag racing in Miami

Justin Bieber was arrested shortly after 4 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, in Miami Beach, Fla., after failing a field sobriety test. Justin, 19, was charged with DUI and drag racing. Bieber was expected to be booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail, according to NBC 6 South Florida.

Justin Bieber was busted by cops in Miami for drag racing and then failed a field sobriety test and was charged with DUI early Thursday.

Justin was driving a rented yellow Lamborghini, when he was stopped on Pine Tree Drive and 26th Street. Bieber had allegedly been at a nightclub on Lincoln Road on Wed., Jan 22.

The Canadian pop star has been making headlines around town after flying from Colorado to Miami Monday, spending time and big bucks at a strip club.

Justin Bieber recently said he doesn't "give a f**k" what people say about him, as his bad behavior is nothing new. Just hours before the arrest, a source told E! News that his advisers have been trying to get him to go to rehab for a while.

But the singer won't listen to his team. "His ego has gotten out of control," the source added, noting that Bieber's rapper friends are known troublemakers.

Lil Za, Milk, and Lil Twist are particularly bad influences on him. Lil Za was even just arrested on Jan. 14 at Bieber's Calabasas mansion for possession of Ecstasy and unprescribed Xanax.

Cops were there raiding Justin's home for evidence in his infamous "egg-gate" case. He reportedly caused $20,000 worth of damage to a neighbor's home five days earlier by hurling about 20 eggs at the mansion's stucco exterior.

Thursday's DUI and drag racing arrest is Bieber's latest run-in with the law. L.A. County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told reporters that Bieber has neither been exonerated, nor yet arrested in relation to the ongoing investigation into the egging incident.

As for the drag racing, Justin's car was being trailed by multiple SUVs when officers gave chase, police sources said. Two of the cars were apparently being used to block the area off.

Bieber was driving north on Pine Tree Drive at such a high rate of speed that it took officers a "significant distance" to catch him. Justin may have had drugs in his system as well, the police sources added.

Miami Beach Police also arrested the other driver in the incident. He's been identified as rapper Crazy Khalil, real name Khalil Amir Sharief. Video of the arrest has surfaced, but police have not verified its authenticity.

California neighbors have called the cops on Bieber several times in the last year, complaining that Justin speeds and drives recklessly around the neighborhood. Other complaints are that he plays loud music at parties that last into the early morning hours.

In July, officials at the U.S.-Canada border seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia from one of the the singer’s tour buses. He wasn't present on the bus at the time.

Justin Bieber seems to be on a downward spiral. Rumors of his abuse of narcotic Sizzurp have been circulating for awhile now, and many outlets report those close to the singer are strongly urging him to check into rehab.

Bieber is just 19-years-old, but if this is his way of getting some street cred, there's plenty of other celebrity examples of how this just isn't the way to go.

In any case, he'll now have his own mugshot to add to the celebrity wall of shame. Stay tuned for more details about Justin's arrest as they become available.
