A report just prior to Christmas called Justin Bieber a "pot-smoking brat." That report, from an unnamed insider, might be backed up by this new one, issued on Wednesday. Bieber is accused of "going off" on a woman at a North Carolina gym on Tuesday.
Colette Harrington is a North Carolina radio host. She claims she was minding her own business and working out at the gym at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel when Bieber and two other people (possibly his trainer and a backup singer or dancer) entered.
Harrington approached Bieber and asked for a picture, but she was rebuffed. She then continued working out, but soon heard Bieber and his team mocking her. She said:
I always count out loud my reps. Then Justin starts imitating me and whenever I'd get to 20, he and his buddy would say "Shut the f*ck up."
Harrington said she ignored the group, but claims they continued to mock her. That wasn't the worst of it, though.
According to Harrington, someone -- she believes it was either Bieber or one of the other two in his group -- spit blue Gatorade into her water bottle while she wasn't looking. The blue color was a giveaway, but unfortunately for her, she drank the offensive combination as she didn't glance at the bottle before swigging.
Harrington said she filed a complaint with the hotel after the alleged incident. Nothing solid appears to have happened, though.
Given the condition of the bottle, Harrington said she is going to sell the (possibly) Bieber spit-filled water bottle on eBay. She said she plans to use any money she gets for the bottle (seriously?) to upgrade the kitchen at her local Ronald McDonald house, where she volunteers.
According to a Bieber rep tells us, the entire story is false. It's true that Bieber was in North Carolina on Tuesday, as he had a concert there. When it comes to the gym, though, the rep said that Bieber and his trainer did go the gym, but while it is true that they were making snide comments, they were to each other -- not directed at Harrington.
To be honest, the story itself doesn't seem impossible. Selling that bottle on eBay, though -- now that seems impossible.
