Justin Bieber has been accused of attempted robbery by a woman who said that the pop music star had tried to take her cell phone. The Los Angeles Police Department has reportedly told the Huffington Post of the situation on Tuesday night. According to Rosario Herrera, a Los Angeles Police Department officer, Bieber is accused of having made the robbery attempt at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday in San Fernando Valley.

The alleged victim is still being interviewed by authorities, according to KTLA-TV. Thus far, Bieber has not been charged. TMZ has reported that the incident specifically happened at the Sherman Oaks Castle Park. Bieber and his friends were there hitting balls in a batting cage. The alleged victim said that Bieber and his friends got into a scuffle with other people at the park. That’s when the alleged victim reached for her cell phone to take pictures of the incident and Bieber tried to take it from her.

These troubles for the singer follow a string of previous concerns over his actions which include alleged vandalism at a former neighbor’s home in California, DUI-driving concerns which occurred in Florida, and troubles related to physically attacking a person in Canada which is where Bieber hails from.

The pop singer is scheduled to go on trial for the Florida infraction as well as for the misdemeanor assault charge in Toronto. The White House has refused to comment, thus far, on a petition that called for Bieber to be deported from the United States to Canada. The petition garnered enough U.S. citizens’ signatures to warrant a response from the federal government. The petition calls for the deportation of Bieber and the revocation of his green card.
