Just more words, more speeches and more of the same

In Texas, there’s a practice of reading the message, while reacting to the messenger. In a sense, Texans believe, ‘if there’s ever something you really don’t want to see, or hear, you just keep on walking and let it be.’ The President’s message on immigration was nothing new and Texans are rejecting it based on the creditability of the messenger.

One would have to wonder, if those who were in attendance at this rally yesterday, were paid a decent, as well as, a fair day’s wage to cheer, applaud and make fools of themselves based on recycled words from previous speeches, which represent, just more of the same.

Yesterday, the president once again, used his office as tool for threats. “If Congress is unable to move forward in a timely fashion, I will send up a bill based on my proposal and insist that they vote on it right away.'

If one would seriously consider what the White House is offering, which is securing the border, cracking down on those who hire illegal immigrants, providing a path to ‘earning’ citizenship and improving the entire immigration system, you’d have to conclude, this is nothing but a chess game being played out with only the hope of amnesty, especially when you consider his deportation numbers.

‘Dan Kowalski, an Austin-based immigration attorney and editor of Bender’s Immigration Bulletin states, ‘the president said encouraging things, but that the details of the plan are what should be considered.’

That’s important because as country we’ve traveled that road before and ended up with amnesty without border control, which only made the immigration issue worst.

‘The fact sheet is more important than the speech, and I agree with pretty much everything in the fact sheet except that I would reverse the order of the four components,” Kowalski said. “I think he has it backwards, and the White House did it on purpose for political reasons.”

The political reasoning behind this scheme is to have Congress, which is Republican, reject it and use it against them during the upcoming mid-terms. Republicans, to the amazement of their own supporters is actively, and willingly committing political suicide by even sitting at the table with Democrats, accepting the words of people who habitual lie and call it bipartisanship.
