Valentine’s Day is coming up, but you don’t have to wait until February 14th to celebrate being single. One of NYC’s leading dating experts and an up and coming filmmaker have just the tickets for you.
On February 4th, Dateologist Tracey Steinberg is hosting a flirting party at 230 Fifth Avenue at 7pm in Midtown. What sets Tracey’s events apart is she acts as an on the spot wing woman, helping both men and women meet, flirt and date people they’re attracted to. Note, this particular event is not for the camera shy—national cable morning show Fox & Friends will be in attendance. Tickets are $45 if you book by Friday January 31st and $60 after that.
If a movie with fellow singles is more your speed, you might want to check out It’s Not You, It’s Me, a new relationship comedy from independent filmmaker Nathan Ives. The movie, which stars Vivica Fox (Independence Day), Joelle Carter (Justified), and Ross McCall (Band of Brothers), is an
edgy, fun look at relationships from inside our heads.
What’s interesting about the movie is not just the subject matter, but the innovative approach Ives is taking to distributing it: a road trip. He’s touring the country, hosting “pay what you want” screenings at art house theaters, doing a Q&A after each and selling the film on VOD platforms like iTunes and Amazon. He’s putting himself out there and that’s something thirtysomething singles know more than a little about.

How will you heat up your love life this February?
