The 14th annual Junior League of San Diego Food & Wine Festival will be off to the races this Saturday, May 3rd with all the flair of the Kentucky Derby. Jodie Spanos, Co-Chair alongside Katie Oliver for this year's event reveals, "At this year's JLSD Food & Wine Festival: A Kentucky Derby Affair, there will be more to taste, experience, and enjoy than ever before! We have over 60 premiere vendors offering delicious tastings, a gorgeous VIP Lounge sponsored by RIVIERA San Diego, a festive Kentucky Derby viewing area presented by Goose Island, live music, shopping, and unlimited access to Derby-themed photo ops and an ePod photo booth. This is one event you won't want to miss."
The Junior League of San Diego is comprised of over a 1,000 women volunteers who have been trained to effectively support and promote the health of the community. Co-Chair, Katie Oliver stresses the importance of this event to the community, "Our goal for this year is to host a premiere tasting event showcasing the best of the best from around San Diego all while raising critical funds to support our mission-based activities. This is our largest event of the year and with the support of our guests, we will raise funds needed to continue programs in our focus area serving Transition Age Foster Youth within our community. We hope people attend to have a great time but also to give back to a worthwhile cause."
