“Bishop Jerry L. Maynard & the Cathedral of Praise Choir” is rising up the gospel radio charts with their hot single entitled “Just Believe” which debuted on the Billboard’s Top Gospel Chart at #10 and has produced a high-spirited single that is quickly rising up the radio charts. Jelama Records is Bishop Maynard’s new record label that produced the project.
“Just Believe”, features the commanding vocals of Michelle Prather (Kurt Carr Singers and Kevin Davidson & the Voices) and has made its way up the Gospel radio charts to the Top 40 and is steadily ascending. “Our single’s amazing rise up the Gospel Charts can only be explained by the fact that God inspired me to record this project and because of the anointed, collective effort and energies from those who worked on ‘Just Believe’ with the desire to spread God’s Word through music,” says Bishop Jerry L. Maynard. “Just Believe” is receiving noted reviews at Gospel radio stations and is becoming a Sunday morning church choir favorite.
“With so much going on in the world today, people must still have faith and hope to believe that God is still God no matter what it looks like. That’s what this song is about! I’m very pleased and honored to be a part of this project and it’s nobody but God who would elevate the visibility for this choir on their first CD,” explains lead vocalist Michelle Prater.
With their inaugural release, the choir’s mission is to give the listener a glimpse of what a Sunday at Cathedral of Praise sounds like, and to give worship leaders, church choirs and music department’s fresh and anointed Worship service appropriate material that is as timeless and timely. Bishop Jerry Maynard Presents: The Cathedral of Praise Choir was produced by the church Music Director Phil Hughley and Elvin “Kiko” Negron and directed by noted songstress Kyla Jade. Making special appearances on the project are Christian music’s most distinguished worship artist and Gospel singers: Don Moen, Nia Allen, Candy West, Pam Crawford and Durward Davis.
