Good morning! I can't help thinking about Jesus today. I can't imagine the week that He was about to endure. Yesterday was His last trip into Jerusalem on this particular Palm Sunday. Jesus knew the journey He was making on that day. Even though Jesus knew the journey, He still went. Jesus and the Disciples had walked this road into Jerusalem many times before for Passover. The road would not change, but the things along the way and the end result, would be different than any other journey into Jerusalem. This day a colt would be found tied up outside and will be used as a mount for Jesus to enter Jerusalem. He told two of His Disciples to go into the village and they will see a donkey and it's colt tied up there. He told them if anyone asks, tell them "The Lord needs them," and he will immediately let you take them. Jesus planned on riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. This day, as Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the crowds were shouting "Hosanna!" In just one week the crowds will be shouting "Crucify!" As Jesus rode in He knew the journey He was travelling. What about you? Do you know what path to take? Do you recognize that you are on a journey? If you know Christ as your Savior then you are not alone on your journey. Your journey has been planned for you. Jesus has just been waiting on you to take the first step!
Romans 10:9-10 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
Untie your donkey my friend and begin the journey Christ has planned for you! Easter is coming! Our King is risen!
Grace and Peace my friends!
